Operation Cold Front

At the height of the Cold War, the Americans have buried an explosive secret under the ice of northern Greenland. 

Camp Somerville is officially a climatology research outpost run by the US Air Force. In the winter of 1962, a rescue party responds to a distress signal from the base and encounters its dark heart - Operation Cold Front, a last-ditch nuclear retaliation capability in the form of dozens of ICBMs concealed beneath the permafrost. The base, along with its nuclear stockpile, has fallen under the control of ultrahumans, biochemically altered soldiers obsessed with purging traitors and eradicating their enemies. Will the player characters prevent nuclear war, or die trying?

Countdown to missile launch is represented by the Timer Die, a d6 shared by the table. As the Timer Die ticks down, it becomes easier for characters to succeed, but nuclear disaster also creeps ever closer.

This tabletop roleplaying game comprises a 12-page booklet including a unique game system and a prewritten horror scenario with NPCs and a map of Camp Somerville. The adventure is stat-free and can be adapted to any horror system of your choice.
